ASYNCHRONY WINS GATEWAY TO INNOVATION AWARD
Department of Defense Work, Improved Bomb Detection Technology Are Cited as Examples of Company’s Notable Efforts
ST. LOUIS (May 30, 2008) — Asynchrony Solutions (www.asolutions.com), a software technology firm focused on the agile delivery of systems integration, custom application development, and secure collaboration solutions, was recently recognized as a Gateway to Innovation award winner. The award was presented at a Recognition Gala held as part of the 2008 Gateway to Innovation Conference, a day-long event highlighting information technology (IT) innovation in St. Louis.
The awards highlight "individual and company leaders in the innovation, development, commercialization and management of technology." The recipients represent technology innovators who have made lasting contributions to enhancing the quality of life and competitiveness of the St. Louis region. A total of 29 companies from a wide variety of vertical markets were considered; submissions were accepted from organizations that have received public recognition, print or web, in a regional or national publication for their use of IT.
Asynchrony’s success has brought significant national business to the St. Louis area, as well as helping to raise the city’s profile as a source of technological excellence through articles published in prominent national magazines, participation in leading-edge government IT committees and working groups, and leadership in high-profile government contracts. Its recent work for the Department of Defense alone has brought tens of millions of dollars in government contracts to St. Louis over the last few years – dollars that would certainly have benefited companies in other cities had these contracts not been awarded to the company.
Asynchrony is also having a significant impact on national safety and fighting the war on terror by working on programs ranging from IED defeat technologies, the Army’s Future Combat Systems and a variety of justice integration projects, including the National Sex Offender Registry.
